Got a gripe with roads and pavements in Aylsham? Overgrown hedges bugging you? Footpaths causing you grief?

Aylsham is blessed with an ancient road and pavement network and many public rights of way.

The nature of the town as a busy hub for the area means that pavements inevitably get uneven, roads can get damaged, and footpaths can become overgrown with bushes and trees.  Sometimes these problems can result in injury to people or damage to property and vehicles, so reporting them quickly can prevent further harm.

Go to Norfolk County Council Highways reporting service and scroll down until you see these options.

Then click on the issue you wish to report and fill in the form.  It is a good idea to take photos when you notice something and attach those to the report. There is a really good tool for identifying the location of the problem too.

It is a very effective service, and you will always get a response. It may take a little while depending on the risk to people or property, but they do resolve the issues.

Aylsham Town Council has no power to resolve these issues, so while it can commiserate with you about the state of our roads, it cannot do anything to fix them.  If everyone reports issues to Highways, you are much more likely to get the problem sorted.

Aylsham Town Council cannot fix roads, but it is interested in hearing your views on how traffic and parking issues can be improved for the residents. Please feel free to email the Chair of the Council on kaymontandon@aylsham-tc.gov.uk
