Would you like to see an Aylsham town centre with less traffic, safer for pedestrians and more cyclist-friendly?

The Transport Group is identifying projects to help reduce the dependency on cars in  Aylsham.

Volunteers including Town and District Councillors, are developing easily accessible information on walking and cycling routes so that residents and visitors can see how quickly and conveniently they can get from home to work or school, or to the shops and restaurants on foot or bike.

Working closely with the county council and bus companies, the team are also working to ensure there are readily available sources of information at bus stops as well as online.

The prospect of two new housing developments will put extra pressure on infrastructure and the Transport group is pressing for ways to minimise the dependence on the car for new residents.

If you are interested in keeping Aylsham vibrant, lively and accessible and have a few hours a month to spare to help with these projects, please email KayMontandon@aylsham-tc.gov.uk.
