The Broadland solar and home battery scheme – Solar Together – has re-opened, offering a group-buying scheme to home owners or who have permission from the landlord to install a solar PV system.
Small and medium-sized enterprises and Commonhold Associations meeting this requirement can participate as well.
Broadland District and South Norfolk Councils have partnered with iChoosr Ltd, independent experts in group-buying, bringing Solar Together to Norfolk.
According to Broadland, this is “an innovative scheme offering high-quality solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and battery storage.”
It is a scheme which brings households together to get solar panels at a competitive price, helping you through the process and keeping you informed at every stage.
You can register for the scheme here.
There is also the Great British Energy Community Fund (GBECF) [formerly the Rural Community Energy Fund (RCEF)], which is for small installs and provides part-funding.
And a scheme called a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), a long-term contract between a power producer and a customer (often a business or utility) for the purchase of electricity, usually from renewable sources like solar or wind. PPAs offer price stability, help companies meet carbon reduction targets, and provide project financing for new renewable energy facilities.
