We are working with Broadland District Council, Aylsham Quakers and local businesses to promote the use of the Refill App as a way to reduce purchases of plastic water bottles.
The App shows businesses that have signed up to fill peoples water bottles, use reusable coffee cups, offer to bring your own packaging shopping or fill your lunchbox.
Hunstanton has 33 businesses on the App – Aylsham has one . . . Starbucks!
Download the free app here to find your nearest refill water station.
Aylsham Quakers already provide a similar service and offer eco-friendly cleaning products at wholesale cost price, and raise funds for local charities.
Mike (pictured above) and Veronika ‘Voky’ Goodwin run the Quakers Refill stall at Aylsham’s monthly Farmers’ Market and are delighted by the success of their venture which allows people to refill plastic bottles of shampoo, conditioner, detergent, washing-up liquid and other fluids rather than buying their products in new bottles.
The market is held on the first Saturday of the month.
If you would like to help us recruit businesses in Aylsham to sign up for the refill app,
