REMEMBER: Batteries, clothing and small electrical items can also be put out with your bins on any normal collection day in a plastic bag (which WILL also get recycled).

Batteries

Appliance Batteries can be recycled, during opening hours, at:

JB Postles, Market Square
Coop Stores, Market Square
Tesco, Norwich Road
Budgens, Norwich Road

Batteries can also be put out with your bins on any normal collection day in a plastic bag (which WILL also get recycled).

Bicycle Inner Tubes can be recycled at Aylsham Cycles, Red Lion Street, during shop open hours.

Bric-a-Brac

Bric-a-Brac can be recycled at St Michaels Church, by donating to the weekly clothing, bric-a-brac and books sale held on Mondays.

Brita Water Filters

Brita Water Filters can be recycled at JB Postles, Market Square, during shop open hours.

Cardboard & Paper

Paper & Cardboard can be recycled in the appropriate bins at:

Aylsham High School, Sir Williams Lane (when school playground/car park is open)

Plastic Bottles

Plastic Bottles can be refilled with soap and laundry products on the first Saturday morning each month at the Quakers stall, Market Square.

Plant Pots

Plastic Plant Pots can be recycled during open hours at Woodgate Nursery, Cawston Road.

Sharps can be recycled during opening hours, in the yellow boxes, at:

Contact lenses and packaging can be recycled in the ACE wheelie bin at St Michael’s Church

Used postage stamps can be recycled in the ACE wheelie bin at St Michael’s Church

Towels

Towels can be recycled for use with hedgehogs during hibernation at Wagtails Pet Shop, Blofield Loke, during open hours.

The ACE Waste group are increasing the range of items that can be recycled in Aylsham by offering collection points in the town for people to be able to bring items such as cosmetic packaging, Marigold rubber gloves, pens, stamps, broken lunchboxes, plastic storage containers, reusable water bottles, spectacles, contact lenses and Babybel packaging.

The collection points are in Aylsham library and St Michaels Parish churchyard in Aylsham outside the east entrance to the church…
