Election Hustings at St Michael’s Church, Aylsham
Friday 21 June
An engaged and interested audience attended the hustings event in the parish church prior to the general election.
All candidates for Broadland and Fakenham were present, and each was given the opportunity to answer questions from the audience, ranging from local concerns about increasing pressure on Aylsham’s surgeries, to broader issues like countrywide pollution of our rivers and beaches, education and housing.
Grizelda Tyler, Chair of ACE (Aylsham Climate Emergency) presided over the event and said afterwards that it was “an important way of clarifying the position of candidates for Aylsham’s electorate.”
